Bristol Marsh |
Bristol Marsh is one of the last remaining freshwater tidal marshes along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania. The marsh is managed by The Nature Conservancy and in cooperation with the Borough of Bristol. The wetland is home to six rare plant species and provides habitat and breeding grounds for a variety of fish and animal life. A representative illustration was chosen because of the instant connection it makes to its inhabitants and the response it provokes-the desire to preserve and protect the marsh.
